Louis obtained his B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1996, and his Juris Doctor in 2003 from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in his home town of San Diego, California.
During law school, in addition to working full time, Louis was a peer advisor, an active member of the Elder Law Society and member of Thomas Jefferson Law Review. Louis graduated Magna Cum Laude, ranked 4th in his class.
Louis’ experience coordinating a senior citizen outreach and referral program in Union County, Ohio prior to law school, coupled with his prior position in the Long Term Care industry, has provided him with a unique understanding of the complex legal and personal transition issues facing older adults and their families. In 2004, Louis was admitted to the Ohio State Bar and to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
